Family Therapy Goals & Approaches
A supportive family environment can feel safe, connected, and understood. When nurtured, our relationships with our family members can be some of the most meaningful and long-lasting in our lives. If there is dysfunction and miscommunication amongst the people you care about and have to live with, you can grow deep roots of hurt that are hard to untangle.
At Miami Hypnosis and Therapy, our family therapy goals aim to strengthen the intrapersonal connections with your loved ones and return to a place of understanding. We provide a welcoming, non-judgmental space for families of all backgrounds to feel safe and improve their situations.
No matter if you’re working through a divorce, recovering after a crisis, or simply wish to communicate better, we can help you discover ways to improve your relationships and grow stronger together.

Common Goals of Family Therapy
The psychology of a family unit can be enormously complex. Relationships between two people can be complicated, let alone a large family with their own strong personalities and different perspectives! That’s why it’s important to us that we never generalize or create a blanket, one-size-fits-all solution to your family’s struggles.
Our professionals will get to know you individually and see how we can achieve your unique family therapy goals, the most common of which include:
- Clearer communication of emotions and expectations in day-to-day life
- Reforging relationships between estranged family members
- Helping family members work through a crisis together
- Overcoming grief from the loss of a loved one
- Providing effective coping skills for families in substance abuse recovery
- Helping children understand divorce
These are just a few of the many potential goals you could have as a family. As always, we will consider every situation with care and discover how we can transform your family’s wellbeing.
